Controlling the humidity levels in your home can be time consuming and costly. Here’s a few easy, low cost and even better -  NO COST steps you can take to moderate the moisture levels in your home.

Ventilation is the key!

  1. On nice days, open a few windows in your home and let some fresh air in!  Fresh air is good for the mind, body and as it turns out, controlling the mold!
  2. Open a window or run a fan when …
  • Showering
  • Cooking
  • Running your dishwasher
  • Running the dryer

Whenever steam is created in your home you want to be sure to give it a chance to dissipate.  Just remember, run your exhaust fans or open those windows, during and at least 30 – 60 minutes after performing these activities.

Mold loves moisture, so if you control the moisture, you control the mold.
